Rahul Rajakumar has expertise in local economic development, inclusive growth and sustainable policy development. He is a trained economist with a BSc in Economics and MSc in Local Economic Development from the London School of Economics.
Prior to joining Kivu International, Rahul worked as an Economist for the UK Civil Service, where he provided senior decision-makers with data-driven forecasts and cost-benefit analyses to shape policy initiatives in the Department of Work and Pensions.
Rahul also founded Aram Research and Insights, the research and strategy hub of The Aram Initiative, dedicated to fostering inclusive growth in Sri Lanka. Through this platform, as a Development Advisor, he has led in-depth research on community challenges and supported collaboration between local and diaspora organisations.
At Kivu International, Rahul supports partners in Malaysia with tobacco control efforts and assists partners in Papua New Guinea in reforming employment policies.
