Humphrey is an economist with extensive experience across fiscal and labour market policy. He has also worked on politically informed policy-influencing programmes.
Prior to Kivu International, Humphrey worked for an economic development and natural resource consulting firm based in Peru. There, he advised multinational natural resource companies on job creation and climate-smart initiatives under their Corporate Social Responsibility programmes in South America and Southern Africa.
He has also worked in the Ministry of Finance of Sierra Leone as an Overseas Development Institute (ODI) fellow, providing analysis to Ministers and senior officials on public financial management issues including the national budget, revenue and tax policy and public investment strategy. In addition, he worked as an economist in the UK government, working on immigration policy in the Home Office and sentencing policy in the Ministry of Justice.
